Thing #3

When I do become a teacher and have a classroom of my own, I think that using a blog will help to communicate to the parents of my students.  I can post upcoming projects that are due, that nights homework, and even the school events that are coming up.
To save paper, I can just post a message on my blog and the parents can check it and even comment back to me.  If my students have a problem with their homework, they can post questions that I will be able to respond to.  If one student has an issue with the homework, then other students could have the same issue.

  1. Great ideas Mrs. Miller. And the saving paper comment shows that you're on your way to becoming a teacher, because with our budget, we will be buying the paper we use out of our own pockets.

  2. I love the idea of using a blog for assignments so there can be that constant communication between the teacher and the students!

  3. I love the idea of using technology for classrooms because it is very eco-friendly and I think that is an important message to instill in people. A lot of people have access and use computers on a regular basis, and for again a lot of people it is easy. I like the idea of a discussion board where the students can brainstorm and then the teacher can comment. Students tutoring each other has proven to be very beneficial to not only the tutor but the student as well. Technology takes that a step further by allowing for immediate interaction and help. I hope when you become a teacher you will be able to implement this.
